My year began lecturing on the lovely Saga Pearl II in the Mediterranean.
This was followed by a dozen super cruises, four as a port speaker and eight as a dance host during the year.
In the summer I passed the first year of the Associateship of King’s College (AKC) course by distance learning.
In the autumn my two Open University students gained their MSc degrees and another pair started under my supervision.
I took my first proper holiday in four years during September with a glorious week staying with my friend Mark in his French holiday home in Montmorillon.
I shall be lecturing again on the Saga Pearl II in the Canaries this Christmas, and then on the Saga Sapphire next Christmas in the Western Med.
Other cruises already booked for next year include the Caribbean and my first mystery voyage.
